Halloween Havoc

Halloween Havoc

Welcome to the very first addition of Halloween Havoc!

So, how this is going to be laid out is these will be 3 players that will Wreck Havoc on your team (players that will end up disappointing) and 3 players to Wreak Havoc your opponents (players to buy). This is basically a rest of season outlook on some players who I would buy low on and sell high on given what their rest of season outlook and opportunity looks like.

Wreck Havoc
Russell Wilson and much of the Broncos offense outside of maybe Courtland Sutton. Russ just plain jane hasn’t been good this season. Did he lose all his muster? Is it the coaching staff? Maybe a mix of both. But I would be looking to salvage anything I could from Russell Wilson at this point. He is only averaging barely a 15 point per week performance, and I believe the ceiling has been completely wiped away. On top of that he’s dealing with an injury that will at least cost him the Week 7 game against the New York Jets.

Wreak Havoc
Dak Prescott and his return this week against a high flying, high scoring Detroit Lions team should bode well for his fantasy numbers this Sunday and beyond. The Cowboys have been winning on the brow of Micah Parsons and this Cowboys defense who are nearly unbeatable in most matchups. This gives them the element of being more dynamic not only through one player, their defense, or their run game. Lastly, Michael Gallup and Dalton Schultz are finally coming along a little healthier and finding their footing. I truly believe this is really coming together for Dallas to look unstoppable on both sides of the ball down the stretch and Dak Prescott’s fantasy numbers will show up huge for you down this stretch run.

Wreck Havoc
Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been more efficient than his stats represent and has been carried by touchdowns to start the year. We have seen an inkling of that in his last two outings when he hasn’t scored a touchdown (only 6.5 and 3.30). one of the other things that really concern me as a fantasy manager is looking at his usage and snap percentage. On the season he’s only averaging 44 percent of the snaps and his only 28th in rush attempts. Jerrick McKinnon is a lot more trusted to handle the pass protection assignments and that is a big reason why he mostly shares or shoulders the load for CEH. I also look on the horizon and can also see a world where Andy Reid wants to get 7th round rookie more involved on the early downs. After their Week 8 bye look for Reid to change this offense into a little more of that power running game and for CEH to be in that RB3-4 range in the meantime.

Wreak Havoc

Travis Etienne he is absolutely without a doubt a big touchdown regression candidate over the course of the send half of the season. While it’s been mostly a 50/50 timeshare with James Robinson so far; Etienne has been slowly gaining not only the coaching staffs trust but also on the flip side James Robinson seems to be really slowing down after the hot start. There are very winnable matchups for the Jaguars to expose down the starch here: NYG, LV, KC, and DET.

Wreck Havoc
Dionte Johnson I really didn’t want to be too obvious here with the way I approach this and didn’t want to go the lazy route and pick on a wide receiver who was like a Darnell Mooney or worse the name value here is what I am looking at and if I can still sell high on that name value that is what I will do. This Steelers team just isn’t all that good and the redzone opportunities are far and between as indicated by the fact he has zero touchdowns on the year. Well didn’t you just say that previously about Travis Etienne? Well yes I did! What you have to understand here is that their offense moves the ball at a lot more efficient rate than Pittsburgh and that’s the key here. And if I can sell Dionte for this next player on this list than I’m all here for it.

Wreak Havoc
Chris Olave I maybe can see your argument here against the Saints Rookie wide receiver. But I am here to put my own stamp of approval and tell you that you’re wrong. It is viable that he continues his dominance during the second half of the season. This man just in Week 2 posted the 2nd highest air yards stats of all time according to Next-Gen Stats. Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry will have zero no implications on that. They are the slant boys of the team and so they play at all most a totally different position than what Olave does. Olave is the deep ball guy, he’s and all you can type of wide receiver and while you may not be that much of a fan of either Jameis Winston or Andy Dalton; you really can’t argue the fact that they do throw a beautiful deep ball at times.
