Week 4 takeaways and top waiver adds

Welcome to the IDP corner!! Hopefully you guys are off to a great start on the season in all your IDP leagues. They seem to be the only leagues I’m doing good in this year. But that’s why I love IDP. So let’s get into some of the action from week 4.

Bobby Wagner remains at the top of the Linebackers position and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Although Lance Kendricks is now knipping at his toes in the #2 spot. De’vondre Campbell is creeping into the top 5 not bad for a guy that could very well be sitting on your waiver wires right now so get out there and check! Chandler Jones is still in the #3 spot but he is proving to be difficult to trust as he put up yet another 0 on the scorecard this week.

Hope you all grabbed Javon Hargrave while he was available. He’s moved his way up into the #1 spot in the defensive End spot. Putting in yet another solid fantasy game. 5 sacks now on the season, 12 assists, 12 solos, and 6 TFL on the season. Just edging out Myles Garrett in the one spot. In a spot where finding big scorers is challenging hes proving to be a solid waiver pick up.

Quinnen Williams of the Jets seems to finally be getting on a roll with his 2nd solid game in a row. Sheldon Richardson finally showed up to a game, of course after I gave up and dropped him in some leagues. I still don't trust his output after starting the season with three 0’s on the scorecard. He's really tough to put into lineups.

How about the Bills defense! Down a few starters and still manage to get their 2nd shutout of the season. Jordan Poyer, Taron Johnson both sat out this game. Granted it was against the rookie qb Mills but still impressive non the less!

Trevon Diggs has had a pretty solid start to the season averaging 17 fantasy points per game through the first 4 weeks. He’s gotten at least 1 interception in every game this year and 1 returned for a TD!

Some top scorers this week were:

Eric stokes rookie from the Packers led the CB dept getting 8 solos, 1 int and 2 Pass deflections. Still hard to trust in a lineup but the rookie is starting to trend in the right direction.

Antoine Winfield of the buccaneers led the safety scoring this week. 2 assists, 5 solos, 1 int, and 1 ff on the week. He did leave the game with a concussion so keep an eye on that going into week 5.

In the DE spot it was Michael Danna that led that group. He’s had two good weeks in a row now so he’s definitely one to keep an eye on as he’s most likely on waivers in your league.

As mentioned earlier Quinnen Williams led all DT’s this weekend and is on the right path back to being a solid play every week.

Quincy Williams led the LB dept and will be my waiver add of the week this week!

Key injuries to keep an eye on:

Shaq Thompson suffered a foot injury in Sunday’s game and is undergoing an MRI today so watch that situation closely.

Jordan Poyer sat out with an ankle injury

Taron Johnson sat out with a groin injury

Keanu Neal on the Covid list should be back in week 5

Patrick Surtain left sunday's game with a chest injury but is reported to be ok. Still keep an eye on him

Romeo Okwara is out for the Remainder of the season with a torn Achilles

Trey Flowers missed his 2nd game in a row with shoulder injury.

Jaire Alexander was carted off the field with a shoulder injury. Severity is unknown at this point but it seems more than likely he will miss a couple weeks.

Preston smith suffered a shoulder injury and is questionable in week 5

Za’darious Smith underwent surgery this week on his back and is out for an extended period but packers hopeful for a return this season

Zach Cunningham was placed on the covid list but was noted as being a close contact so probable for a week 5 return

Khari Willis sat out with a groin injury and is questionable in week 5

Kwity Paye sat out with a hamstring injury and is questionable in week 5

Frank Clark was out with a hamstring injury

Kenneth Murray was placed on IR after being carted out of chargers practice on sat with an ankle injury

Ja’Whaun Bentley sat out sundays game with a shoulder injury

Jabrill Peppers suffered a hamstring injury but says he will suit up week 5 so something to keep an eye on

Marcus Maye of the jets is facing 3 charges from a dui in feb and was inactive

Jamal Adams is listed as questionable in week 5 with ankle injury

Antoine Winfield suffered a concussion in Sunday’s game and coach Arians said “it will be hard” for him to clear protocol before Sunday’s game in week 5

WAIVER ADD OF THE WEEK:

This week's top waiver add will be Quincy Williams of the Jets. After missing week 1 Williams has put up solid numbers every week. 10 pts week 2, 22 pts week 3 and 32 pts in week 4. He's only got 1 sack on the season so far but look for that number to increase.
