In My Defense: Week #13 D/ST Streams

D/ST Streamers – Week #12

Below are three streaming options for the DST slot in Week #13 but before we go ahead, there’s a few DSTs that are highly owned in fantasy leagues, but you should double check your waiver wire or FA to see if they’re somehow available.

Minnesota Vikings – This week the Vikings get an attractive matchup against the Detroit Lions, where the Vikings are 7-point road favorites with only a 46 Over/Under, giving the Lions an implied team total of 19.5 points, one of the lowest on the week. This season the Lions’ offense is allowing the 8th most fantasy points to DSTs and scores only 15.8 points per game, 3rd worst in the NFL. The Vikings have struggled generating turnovers this season, but lead the NFL in sacks, averaging 3 per game. The Detroit Lions have one of the worst offensive lines according to PFF, which provides a juicy opportunity for Minnesota to get to the QB at least a few times.  Combined with the Lions’ low implied total, the Vikings DST should have a great week.

Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles defense has been solid all year, but been nearly dominant in recent weeks, ranking as the #3 DST since Week 8. The Eagles travel to face the Jets who, especially with Zach Wilson’s return, has been an elite target for DST matchups. The Eagles are 6.5-point favorites, and the Jets have one of the lowest implied totals on the week. The Jets are giving up almost 3 sacks per game to go along with 2.2 turnovers per game, which should give the opportunistic Eagles defense a high probability of generating at least a few splash plays.

Miami Dolphins – The Dolphins are a 4-point home favorite against the Giants who carry an 18-point implied team total, tied for lowest on the week. Not only have the Giants been atrocious on offense this season, but they also get downgraded even further this week as back-up QB Mike Glennon is expected to start for the injured Daniel Jones.  Glennon is a mediocre back up who’s most recent output was measly 196 yards and 1 TD with 2 picks against Dallas in Week 5. After an abysmal start, Miami’s defense has gotten stronger, ranking as the #2 DST over the last 3 weeks, averaging 2 takeaways and 3.7 sacks per game. Miami is another solid bet to finish at least inside the Top 10 this week.

I hope this article helped you and as always, stay true.
