Round Table
Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are joined by our guest Micah Kurtz! The offseason is continuing to drag on and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.
- Do you see the extra game and the injury riddled 2020 causing coaches to manage workhorse RBs touches even more?
Jordan: The league as a whole has been heading in this direction anyway. I do believe the extra game will continue that push.
Pynakker: I think some will as can be seen by teams like Carolina drafting another rb when they have CMC.
Colt: I don't see a major issue with 1 added game. Teams these days have shifted to an RBBC to help manage workload already.
Seth: I don’t see it changing much. I think teams will stick to their game plans.
Micah: I don’t think it will effect the true workhorse backs.
- Do you have Ryan Tannehill as a top 10 fantasy QB for redraft formats?
Jordan: Suhhhhh-Masssssh
Pynakker: Nope, I’m putting his ceiling at QB15
Colt: I don't have him top 10. I do see him finishing as a QB1 still in 12 teams at QB12.
Seth: Coming into the league I really liked tannehill. I had him rated at about 19 before the Julio trade and I have him at 14 now with the upside to reach 8 but I believe that is his ceiling.
Micah: No, I have in the 12-15 QB range
- Who is your top deep sleeper Tight End for 2021?
Jordan: Mo Allie Parker Cox. Carson Wentz loves his Tight Ends and MAPC seems prime for a breakout. He played almost as many snaps as Doyle and should continue to see his target share rise. He’s a late round pick with tremendous upside.
Pynakker: Adam Trautman would be my deep sleeper TE cause if Taysom is not being used as a TE they will definitely be hitting Trautman.
Colt: Anthony Firkser was my buy low up until the Julio trade. OJ Howard could be a nice sleeper and is basically free.
Seth: Pat Freiermuth of the Steelers, he is one of my favorites coming out this year and I am excited to see what he can do.
Micah: Kylen Granson on the Colts, Mo Allie Cox and Jack Doyle are still there, but Trey Burton is not, so Granson can slide right into his spot.
- Would you rank Calvin Ridley in the top 5 WRs with Julio gone?
Jordan: If you take Ridleys career sans Julio and extrapolate it over a 16 game regular season you would come out with a stat line of
116 Rec 1712 Yards 6 TDs
He’s right in that top 5 fringe for me. But everything is there for him to do it.
Pynakker: I would take him as a top 10 but not top 5. Top 5 would be Adams, Hill, Nuk, DK and JJ, might even put Diggs above him but I’d have Ridley at about 6-7
Colt: I don't have Ridley top 5. That's too bold for me. I do have him in the top 10 however.
Seth: I have been watching a lot of tape mainly when Julio was out and this guy is right at 5 for me and I have a great feeling about him this season.
Micah: Right outside of the top 5 for me.
- Start, bench, cut (not for fantasy) Noah Fant, Hunter Henry, Robert Tonyan.
Jordan:
Start Fant
Bench Henry
Cut Tonyan
I believe Fant is the most talented of this group when healthy and would like to see Tonyan show he’s not a one year wonder
Pynakker: Start Henry, bench Tonyan and cut Fant. I just don’t trust the Broncos qb situation, if it’s Lock. If Bridgewater is starting then Fant and Tonyan switch.
Colt: Start Fant, bench Henry, cut Tonyan. If Rodgers wasn't being a diva I would probably go Tonyan, Fant, Henry.
Seth: Start Noah Fant: Fant is young coming into his 3rd season and I like what I’ve seen.
Bench Hunter Henry: Henry is a special talent but injury riddled, when he plays he is the best of the 3 but his upside keeps him on my roster.
Cut Robert Tonyan: Coming into his fourth season after a huge jump in production in which I believe will be his best performance of his career. I take my chance and let him walk
Micah: Start Tonyan, bench Fant, cut Henry
That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
