Round Table
Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are joined by our guest Patrick Kuszaj! The offseason is continuing to drag on and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.
- Who’s your top bust candidate at the QB position for 2021?
Zach: I’m going with Matthew Stafford at his current ADP of #98. That puts him in the 9th round of drafts which is pricey for an aging veteran that is on a new team and has had injury issues as of late.
Jason: Jalen Hurts. He isn’t a very accurate QB and he doesn’t run enough to make a viable dual threat QB. I have him finishing outside the top 12 at the QB position in 2021.
Ryan: Top bust I’m saying is Joe Burrow. Not because of his ability, but because of the lack of interest in protecting the poor guy.
Patrick: Matt Ryan. As last year's number 12 ranked fantasy QB, he just lost a big weapon in Julio Jones. Atlanta's offense went from 2 years ago having the highest percentage of pass plays to run, to last season dropping to 8th and with the additions of Mike Davis, I think the Falcons will continue trending away from being a pass first team.
- PPR Dynasty, Dobbins or Akers?
Zach: Dobbins. Baltimore runs the ball so much that he’ll have more work than some three down backs. I think the sky is the limit for this sophomore stud.
Jason: Dobbins
Ryan: Give me Akers. Baltimore signing Edwards on a two year deal only solidified they believe he needs to get touches or be the pass catching back. Offense Akers is in exposed his talents even with a crowded backfield last year. Plus Lamar will always take red zone touchdowns away from Dobbins.
Patrick: Dobbins. I have been high on Dobbins since he was drafted and have been picking him up where I can. He's a three down back who can run with both power and finesse and I think he will really take off this year and though the numbers didn't show it last year he should be used more in the passing game going forward.
- What NFL team do you think will be the most surprising this year?
Zach: I gotta go with the Washington Football Team. That defense is legit and they’ve built a very talented offense for Fitzmagic. I think they’ll easily win their division.
Jason: I think the most surprising team this year will be the 49ers. Injuries absolutely decimated this team last year and I believe they get back to playoff form this year, even with Jimmy G at the helm.
Ryan: Most surprising NFL team this year, imma go with Washington. I think they are building something great defensively and just need to find their rhythm on the offensive side of the ball. Fitzmagic? Again. Yes sir.
Patrick: I wouldn't sleep on the Minnesota Vikings this year, they have addressed many needs this offseason and the rest of the North have a lot of question marks surrounding themselves.
- What NFL team do you think will be the most disappointing this year?
Zach: I think the Saints are in for a rough year. I’m talking last place in their division rough. Brees was so much more than just a great Quarterback for them and I think they’re gonna be in a funk for at least a year or two.
Jason: I think the NY Giants will be the most disappointing team in the NFL this year. I don’t believe in Daniel Jones and even with all the weapons they added on offense, I don’t think they will be effective. That defense is also still a work in progress. They are still a few years away from being a legit contender.
Ryan: Most disappointing team imma roll with seattle. Not having much draft capital to build for the future obviously hurts. The defense is lacking it’s impact it once had even with Adams. Offensively they start the years strong but are struggling to cross the finish line over the last season.
Patrick: The most disappointing team this season will be the Pittsburgh Steelers. They will not be the worst team in the league. The AFC North is a tough division there won't be any give me games for the Steelers. Their QB is another year older, they had one of the worst offensive lines in the league last year. This a team that will finish a couple games under .500 and will probably lead the league in losses by less than 7 points.
- Start, bench, cut. Kenny Golladay, DJ Chark, Tyler Lockett.
Zach: Start Chark, bench Galladay, cut Lockett. Chark is about to ball out with Lawrence and I think Lockett will take a step back.
Jason: Start Chark, Bench Golladay, Cut Lockett.
Ryan: Start Golladay, bench Lockett, cut Chark.
Patrick: Start - Chark. I think he will blow up this season with Lawrence
Bench - Lockett. He’s sliding on the depth chart behind DK
Cut - Golladay. Personally he is my favorite player out of the 3 and I hope he does well but I don't think he is the right fit for the Giants.
That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
