Round Table
Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are joined by our guest Tom Cochran! The Regular Season is rolling along and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.
This was written prior to the Thursday night game.
- What is your upset of the week?
Jordan: Call this week Upset Sunday because I’m predicting a few.
Jags will be the biggest with their first win against the reeling dolphins.
Browns will take out the undefeated Cardinals.
Vikings will beat the Panthers.
Jeremiah: I've got the Jaguars getting their 1st win this week in London against the Dolphins!
Jimmy: Upset of the week arJaguars getting their first W
Colt: Browns over the Cardinals. I think the Browns D will find a way to slow down the high powered Cardinals offense.
Tom: New England over Dallas. Don't let New England's record distract you from the fact that their defense is averaging the 5th fewest PPG in the league. Additionally, Dallas is 1 of 2 teams to have played their last 3 games at home. Their ability to stay in their element will be put to the test this Sunday when they head to Foxborough.
- Who is your top “buy” in dynasty formats right now?
Jordan: CeeDee Lamb. The production hasn’t been there and he currently is being out produced by Dalton Schultz. If ever there is a time to get him at a reasonable price it is now. The talent is there.
Jeremiah: I think Cole Kmet is a good buy right now because I think him and Fields could start getting on the same page soon.
Jimmy: Top buy right now in dynasty would be Kenneth Gainwell or Javonte Williams. Both of these are going to be future RB1s on their respective teams. I'd say as early as next year or end of this year.
Colt: I think Stefon Diggs is the biggest buy for me.
Tom: Josh Allen. Enough said.
- What stud are you fading for week #6?
Jordan: Does AJ Brown count? All the talent, none of the production lol. I’m not starting him anywhere
Jeremiah: I'd fade Josh Jacobs this week.
Jimmy: Derrick Henry. He’s a monster but the matchup isn’t the best and game script will probably force Tennessee to throw the ball early and often.
Colt: I think I'm fading AJ Brown for the week. I think he gets locked up by Tre'davious White.
Tom: Aaron Rodgers. He goes into Soldier Field for his first divisional matchup against a team not named The Detroit Lions. Also, Chicago has the second best pass defense in the league.
- Who do you see winning the AFC North?
Jordan: The Cleveland Browns are the best team in the division but in typical Browns fashion they will find a way to give it to the Ravens.
Jeremiah: Baltimore
Jimmy: The Baltimore Ravens win the AFC North. Bengals or Browns get in with the wild card
Colt: I see the Browns winning. The defense is good, the offense can lean on Hunt and Chubb week in and week out. Landry coming back hopefully this week helps them too.
Tom: As long as Lamar Jackson keeps doing Lamar Jackson things, it should be Baltimore. I could see Cleveland staying hot on their trail and good things are finally happening in Cincy.
- Let’s open things up and just drop a random prediction about a player, team, or anything you got on your mind.
Jordan: Dallas hasn’t beaten a Bill Belichick coached team since 1991. That’s 30 years for those keeping track at home. That changes this week as the downward spiral of the overrated coach continues.
Jeremiah: I think Geno Smith crumbles at Heinz field and that the Seahawks are in big trouble without Wilson and will probably miss the playoffs.
Jimmy: The Lions have a legitimate shot at going 0-17
Colt: It's not a crazy prediction, but Dak wins MVP and Comeback Player of the Year this year.
Tom: I want to see Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts all end their careers as HOF franchise quarterbacks for their current teams. The OU "franchise QB factory" has been fun to watch. Side note- Hurts has produced the most consistent fantasy results out of these 3 so far in 2021.
That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
