Round Table
Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are joined by our special guest Colt Martin! The Regular Season is rolling along and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.
This was written prior to the Thursday night game.
- What is your upset of the week?
Jordan: Chiefs over Cowboys.
Jimmy: WFT beats the Panthers. Doesn't seem like an upset, but record wise it is. They come together after upsetting the Buccs
Colt: Hawks beat the Cards 24-13
Ryan: I’ll go with the Liond upsetting and snagging the first win against a banged up Browns offense.
- Who is the team to beat in the AFC right now?
Jordan: Titans. Chiefs are finally looking like the Chiefs but the Titans are dangerous. Especially with Henry being able to be fresh for a playoff run.
Jimmy: I have a hard time with this one. Titans and Bills will take the top 2 spots in the AFC. I think they have a strong team. But be weary of those nasty Patriots. As much as I hate to say, they seem like they're clicking.
Colt: Titans have to be the current frontrunners.
Ryan: Team to beat imo for the afc is still the Bills imo. Best all around overall team on both sides of the ball.
- Do you see OBJ amounting to anything for fantasy owners this season?
Jordan: He’s done. Too many injuries have caught up to him. Bad attitude doesn’t help. He may have a game or two but that’s that.
Jimmy: If Robert Woods was still playing I would say no. Once he got hurt, I think he'll have some relevance. With Kupp being so dominant and they're utilizing their run game, OBJ isn't gonna put up WR #s. But I think he'll have better games than this past weeks 2 catcher.
Colt: OBJ needs a few weeks to get acclimated, but I could see him being viable for fantasy playoffs.
Ryan: I believe OBJ will have a mediocre finish with the Rams. May finish inside the top 30 of wrs.
- Which Titans RB will score the most PPR points ROS?
Jordan: Foreman. He has shown promise in the past. I think he has a mini breakout.
Jimmy: A lot of people have said it. But D'Onta Foreman is gonna be their top RB come end of season (minus Henry's current pre injury numbers)
Colt: If I have to pick one it's Foreman, but I do love McNichols or however you spell it.🤣
Ryan: I’m leaning Foreman personally. Guy runs the same way as Henry does. Obviously not as good but the guy fights and punches up the gut. Has a high motor
- What is your opinion of the NFL possibly expanding and adding more teams in the future?
Jordan: More football? Sign me up!
Jimmy: I'm always up for expanding the markets. However, I don't think adding a team in Europe would benefit anyone. I know there's a lot of talk about a London team, but logistically it won't make sense with huge time changes and the cost of travel.
Colt: More teams equal more games. Sign me the fuck up!
Ryan: I’m a traditionalist. I don’t like the change myself. I like it at 32.
That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
