Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are here to
talk some ball and we're joined by a very special guest Cheri Rosen! It’s Championship weekend in the fantasy world and the playoffs are just around the corner in reality and as always we're here to answer some questions. - What is your upset of the week?
Jordan: Maybe it’s wishful thinking but let’s go for the season sweep! Minny over GB
Jeremiah: Falcons over Bills
Jimmy: I can see the Dolphins beating the Titans because the Dolphins need to win out in order to have a shot at the playoffs.
Pynakker: Raiders over Colts, if they can stop JT they are golden cause him and the defense are carrying the team like Henry and the Titans defense last year.
Cheri: Upset of the week is Jags over Patriots.
- Do you see the Dolphins making the playoffs?
Jordan: I want to but I don’t. I think they drop these last two games. Too little too late this season.
Jeremiah: I don’t see them making the playoffs this season. I think they come up just short but have a bright future ahead of them!
Jimmy: I can see the Dolphins making the playoffs. I know that they at least need to win out (unsure what else needs to happen), but they play Titans then NE. And we all know how the Dolphins play NE at the end of the season.
Pynakker: Maybe but I feel they have 2 teams that have solid defenses coming up and multiple teams right behind them gunning for the spot.
Cheri: I think the Dolphins push the patriots out tbh.
- Are you in any fantasy championships this season and if so, what player carried you there?
Jordan: I'm in a few. I should have been in a few more if Tee Higgins didn’t go bananas. I’d say my biggest culprit has been Cordarelle.
Jeremiah: I made the Championship in 3 of my 6 leagues! Nick Chubb and Aaron Jones had a big part in all of those leagues!
Jimmy: Yes I am in 2 league championships. One team I had Kamara, Ekeler, Lamar Jackson/Joe Burrow, and Mark Andrews carry me. Other team: Tyreek Hill, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Dawson Knox/Dalton Schultz and Superflex of Joe Burrow/Josh Allen.
Pynakker: Yeah, Renfrow led me for 1 and JT and Kupp carried another.
Cheri: I’m in one fantasy championship and several players got me there but if I had to pick one it’s Jonathan Taylor… Go Badgers!
- Do you see Baker Mayfield being “the guy” for Cleveland for years to come?
Jordan: Only if they want to continue losing.
Jeremiah: I think he is only because of his popularity and connection with the fans, that’s what happened with Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott.
Jimmy: I'm torn on this. I do like the guy, but I think he makes a lot of mistakes and that's what hurts him. When he's good, he's on fire. But when he's bad, he's bad. So I'm gonna say no. He's not going to be the guy in the future. May just be a few years before they find someone else.
Pynakker: No, Mullens is better, I’ve said Mullens should be a starter for years cause whenever he jumps in he does good.
Cheri: Baker is a serviceable QB. He is the best the Browns will have for years to come. He needs chemistry with the players around him. He has some with Landry. I think the Browns need to try keeping some players around to give him the opportunity to develop chemistry.
- What possible playoff matchup are you dying to see?
Jordan: Pats Bills 3 - call that one an end to an era
Packers Bucs - so Dallas can avoid the Pack
Jeremiah: Patriots vs Bills would be great, but a Patriots vs Buccaneers Super Bowl would be incredible!
Jimmy: I'm really excited to see the NFC side of the playoffs. A lot of powerhouse teams with a lot of wins. Be good to see who can win when it really matters.
Pynakker: Raiders vs Chiefs , cause that means the Raiders made the playoffs AND didn’t lose week one. If the Raiders make it that far it would be awesome cause that means even losing Ruggs, Gruden and Arnette they still beasted.
Cheri: Hmmmmm
Would like to see the Bills knock out the Chiefs and the Packers knock out the Bucs
Leaving the Packers winning it all.
