Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are here to talk some ball and are joined by a very special guest Boogi Bowen! The 2021 NFL season is in the books and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.
- What were your thoughts on the Super Bowl?
Jimmy: I thought the Super Bowl was great. Both teams showed why they deserved to be there. Just like all the other playoff games this year, it came down to the last few minutes.
Pyankker: A lot of missed calls and some random calls too that should have been. All that matters is Kupp got the sb mvp as he deserves
Audra: I had a great time watching it. I didn't root hard for either team, both the outcomes had a great story. I was bummed to see OBJ go down and to hear Joe sprained his knee after all. Hope both recover quickly.
Boogi: That halftime show was 🔥 but officiating was suspect to say the least lol but overall was a good game.
- With most of the superstar veteran Quarterbacks that we’ve watched over the last two decades now retired, who are your top five young QBs to step up for this new era?
Jimmy: In no particular order, Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, and I probably throw in Jackson or Carr. I'm not going to mention any rookies from this past year, only because it's only been a year.
Pynakker: Burrow, Allen, Mahomes, Mac Jones, Watson.
Audra: Mahomes, Joe B, Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert.
Boogi:
- Kyler would be higher but the drama
- Josh Allen
- Joe Burrow
- Patrick Mahomes
- Justin Herbert
- Is Kupp your fantasy WR1 for next season?
Jimmy: He's definitely top 3. With Aaron Rodgers' future in Green Bay up in the air, Davante Adams would be the only other one I could see as number 1. On the other side, we've seen a lot of receivers have one good year and then tail off, so Kupp needs to be consistent with this production.
Pynakker: Yes and he should be everyone’s.
Audra: He is a definite contender.
Boogi: First WR I'm taking for sure
- Do you see Burrow and co. making it back to the big game anytime in the near future?
Jimmy: In the near future, I do see the Bengals back in the Super Bowl. They absolutely need to strengthen their offensive line if they want to get back. If Burrow had more time, Chase was wide open on that last play.
Pynakker: Depends what moves they make, if they keep Eli apple’s bum ass then no.
Audra: It's totally possible.
Boogi: If cincy drafts linemen with every pick they have, they could lol
- How about that halftime show?
Jimmy: I really liked the halftime show. I'm a huge hip hop fan and Eminem is one of my all-time favorites, so for me that was great.
Pynakker: Overrated, would have been better had they just had like 3 of em or even tell Kendrick Lamar to sit down and let the actual legends sing since his song was longer than like all the others combined it felt like.
Audra: LOVED it.
Boogi: As I said earlier it was 🔥 best one to date.
