Round Table

Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are here to talk some ball and are joined by our guy Dwight Kofroth! The 2021 NFL season is in the books and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.

  1. Which 2021 rookie QB do you see making the biggest sophomore leap?

Zach: Trevor Lawrence for sure. He had a pretty rough rookie campaign and I bet he’ll improve by a significant margin in 2022. A year in the pros under his belt and some offensive line help should let him showcase his elite talent in his sophomore season. His Clemson buddy Travis Etienne returning from injury won’t hurt either.

Jeremiah: I see Trey Lance and Justin Fields both having good seasons but I’d say Lance makes the biggest leap.

Pynakker: Trey lance probably cause I don’t see the 9ers keeping Jimmy G.

Colt: I can't believe I'm on the Wilson train, but here I am. I think outside the obvious of TLaw and Mac. Wilson looked pretty good down the stretch with a pretty crappy and banged up team. He was missing fellow rookie Moore too. I think if the Jets get him another weapon and a little more OL help he could take a major leap from where he currently is.

Dwight: Trevor Lawrence, he can only go up. Mac will be as good as last year unless a #1 wr gets in out for Wilson...he either improves greatly or he is more than likely a waste of talent that they'll keep around hoping he ain't.

  1. What do you make of the Pats Tight Ends for fantasy this year?

Zach: They both have top ten potential but because there’s two of them and NE is a run first offense, I think they’ll be fairly inconsistent. Henry proved to be the favorite in the red zone so I’d choose him but if the Pats don’t bring in a legitimate receiver, Jonnu could be a great PPR TE.

Jeremiah: Henry definitely is worthy of being a starting TE and I would take him as my TE1 in the later rounds and stack at other positions. Jonnu Smith is nothing more than a streaming option in deep leagues.

Pynakker: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Hunter Henry is the TE to own there.

Colt: I love Jonnu, but Henry is the stud TE. Once NE gets a bonafide WR1 Jonnu is probably 4th in the pecking order behind Meyers. They will design some play, but not enough to trust him week in and out.

Dwight: Meh, same as last year. Lol.

  1. What is your gut feeling on Rodgers and Green Bay?

Zach: I think Rodgers will stick it out in Green Bay for one last hoorah and then call it a career.

Jeremiah: I Think Rodgers wants out of Green Bay and will probably get his way, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning having success on new teams is probably a big reason Rodgers will leave.

Pynakker: Rodgers is probably leaving Green Bay, either gets traded or he retires.

Colt: AR12 is probably returning to GB. With the way the team is reworking contracts that's the vibe I get.

Dwight: Rodgers stays if they get him another big name receiver, which I think they will.

  1. Who will be the next Bengals? A terrible team to suddenly climb the ladder.

Zach: The Jaguars. I believe in TLaw.

Jeremiah: The Panthers! They have a pretty solid team and just need a QB and they could make a run.

Pynakker: Lions.

Colt: Panthers get a QB and that team can be very dangerous. That defense is young and good. With TB12 gone (for now) it could be wide open.

Dwight: Jets. No, I don't know why..I'm just thinking Jets.

  1. Start, bench, cut: Kyle Pitts, TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews.

Zach: Start Andrews, bench Hockenson and cut Pitts. If Ridley returns he’ll still be the #1 target in Atlanta and the other two guys will most likely remain the top target for their respective teams. Volume over talent when it comes to this position and PPR formats.

Jeremiah: Start Andrews, bench Hockenson,  cut Pitts.

Pynakker: Start Andrews, bench Pitts and cut Hock because….Pitts>Hock lol

Colt: Start Mark Andrews, bench, Pitts, cut Hock that's such a hard choice, I love all 3. Fantasy wise that's what I would do.

Dwight: Start Pitts, bench Hock, cut Andrews...yeah..I said what I said. Lol.

That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
