Round Table
Welcome back to the TSF Round Table where the guys at Truth Serum Football are here to talk some ball! Free agency is in full swing and as always we're here to answer some questions. Have a question you want us to answer at next week’s Round Table discussion? Drop it in a comment below.
- With the recent WR shakeup, what are your current top five PPR WRs for redraft?
Pynakker: Adams
Diggs
Chase
Evans
Hopkins
Colt: 1. Kupp, 2. Jefferson 3.Chase, 4. DA, 5. Deebo
Justin:
- Jefferson
- Kupp
- Chase
- Lamb
- Adams
Jardine:
1) Cooper Kupp
2) Stefon Diggs
3) Davante Adams
4) Allen Robinson
5) JaMarr Chase
Allen Robinson enters a much better QB situation, arguably the best of his entire football life going back to high school, but competing with Kupp for receptions makes A-Rob fall a bit on my list.
Geoff: Kupp, Adams, Diggs, Chase, Deebo.
- What is your advice to dynasty managers on how to handle Deshaun Watson? Buying, holding, selling?
Pynakker: I’m holding cause his value is up in the air currently.
Colt: If you have Watson I think you have to hold him. He and Amari will do well together.
Justin: Hold Watson, if you picked him up last year then you got him for a steal and he wasn’t your QB1. He’ll face a suspension but will be back in time to set the Fantasy world on fire. Hold! Don’t overpay and don’t undersell.
Jardine: I'm buying Watson. It will take some time to get his groove back, but he is a legit top 5 QB in the NFL, and as much as it pains me to say this, Cleveland is a better team than the Texans. Watson is still young enough to provide a dynasty roster with some incredible value.
Geoff: Sell, you won't ever get more value than right now.
- Will Derek Carr be a QB1 this season?
Pynakker: Yes, he was borderline last year and has only added weapons.
Colt: I could see Carr creeping in as a low end QB1.
Justin: Derek Carr will need to be a QB1 next year. My prediction is he’s top 5
Jardine: Carr threw for more than 4800 yards in 2021. Add Adams to that WR room and Carr throws for 5500 easily. If you're drafting a QB later in your draft, Carr can be a solid QB1 for your fantasy teams.
Geoff: I see Carr as about QB17 for the year.
- Give us a draft prospect who’s not getting enough love from draft scouts and the media?
Pynakker: Isaiah Spiller
Colt: Rachaa White needs more love. His Burst score is in the 87 percentile, Speed Score is in the 84 percentile, he ran a 4.48 at 6' 214 lbs putting him in the 84th percentile among running backs.
Justin: Kevin Harris out of SC he’s a Uber talented guys. Runs hard and violently, a back surgery kept him from spring ball and may have factored into his performance last year. Also Abram Smith from Baylor is worth a look.
Jardine: Jameson Williams is very overlooked after his injury last season. It isn't 1990 anymore. Advances in medical treatment and technology combined with the strength and conditioning training these players have access to in 2022 makes ACL injuries far less severe than they used to be. While I believe Williams will still be injured for the first part of the NFL season, he is a prime draft and stash prospect. Was the consensus #1 receiver coming out this year pre-injury so I believe he is worth a flier early.
Geoff: I would say Metchie III, just because of his injury. Dude is a baller and has great hands. Whoever lands him in the 2-3rd round is getting a stud.
- Start, bench, cut: JuJu, Courtland Sutton, Terry McLaurin. PPR redraft.
Pynakker: Start JuJu, bench McLaurin, cut Sutton.
Colt: Start Sutton, bench Terry, cut Juju.
Justin: Start McLaurin, sit Sutton and cut JuJu.
Jardine: I start Terry McLaurin, bench Courtland Sutton and cut JuJu Smith-Schuster.
McLaurin is a very underrated receiver. Sutton is really good as well, McLaurin just has an edge for me. JuJu is too much of a distraction. I don't want that on my team.
Geoff: Smash start Sutton. Sit JuJu. Cut Terry.
That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
