Championship Week questions
- Is your Super Bowl prediction still alive? If not, who ya got?
Jordan: Preseason super bowl pick is intact and I’m sticking with it. Goat vs The Kid. #Bradyfor7
Travis: Colts are out. I’ll go with the “sure” thing. Give me Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes. Although I will say Rodgers needs this one more for his legacy than the rest of these guys.
Pynakker: No I wanted Browns and Rams lol so I’m gonna go with Bills vs Bucs.
Pompa: I predicted Saints and Steelers. That dream was shot in the ass! But I am taking the Packers now to win the Superbowl.
Chevy: No, my prediction was Chiefs vs Seahawks.
- With legend Drew Brees likely calling it a career, what does your QB Mount Rushmore look like?
Jordan: Brady, Peyton, Montana and Bradshaw.
While I think cases can be made for Brees, Elway, Favre, and Marino, these guys all won at least 2 Super Bowls while retiring at or near the top in most major statistical categories.
Travis: Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers.
Pynakker: Favre, Brees, Marino and Vick.
Pompa: Brees, Manning, Marino, Montanna.
Chevy: Brady, Montana, Manning, Not sure who I’d have 4th.. it’s a tossup.
- What player has helped or hurt next years draft stock the most this postseason?
Jordan: Jonathon Taylor and Cam Akers cemented themselves as RB1 candidates for me next season. Diggs isn’t finished yet though and I am finding it harder and harder to not put him in the elite class.
Travis: Hurt- Clyde Edwards Has hurt his stock the most by being injured. I’ve already heard other analysts call out they would rather have taken Swift, JK Dobbins, or Cam Akers ahead of him. I would say Jonathan Taylor but he went ahead of him in some people’s drafts.
Helped- Would it be weird if I said Leonard Fournette? He has been pretty good and looking like his old self in that backfield. Whether it’s with Tampa or another team next year I think he has solidified himself in that same range as last year before the trade (late 2nd-3 ADP)
Pynakker: DKM has skyrocketed his stock imo he’s gotta be a top 3 wr off the board next year.
Pompa: Baker Mayfield. Dude came on so strong towards the end of the season.
Chevy: Jonathan Taylor/JK Dobbins helped, MT has hurt his.
- Which of the four teams left will have the toughest time getting back next year and why?
Jordan: All 4 are very solid and built for the long term. Losing Brady would hurt the Bucs but I fully expect him to be back. I’m going to go with the Packers. Aaron Rodgers looked finished in 2019 before running away with the MVP in 2020. I think this season is the exception not the rule and I believe this team takes a slight step back this season.
Travis: I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Buffalo Bills. With the emergence of the Miami Dolphins having a pretty decent squad and the fact that you can’t ever count out Bill Belichick. As a WildCard in any given year I just don’t know if Buffalo has what it takes to beat great teams on the road.
Pynakker: Packers because unless they can get AJ Dillon up to par with Jones who will probably be leaving, it’ll be tougher to repeat.
Pompa: Bucs most definitely.
Chevy: Packers, they’re a crap shoot every year with ARod.
- Who’s your team next year to go from worst to first?
Jordan: The 49ers will be healthy and probably have a competent QB. I think they’re poised to be right back in the thick of it next season
Travis: Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd is a powerhouse of a team in their own right. Higgins can come out next year with a full offseason. I think Zach Taylor has the undivided attention of this team and I truly believe that the rest of the teams in this division could regress a bit. Making some moves on defense and solidifying that line are going to be the key contributors this offseason.
Pynakker: I could see the Jags popping off next year tbh.
Pompa: Jacksonville, New Coach, 1st pick.
Chevy: I ride or die Cowboys, and I have faith they do much better next season.
That’s it for this week guys. Thanks for reading and as always, stay true.
