Week #7 Faded Friday

Week #7 Faded Friday

Faded Fridays with Joey Fickle

First off, welcome (Gulp) Ahhhh. Back to it. But this week til the end of the season, will be in the form of written word.

I never remember my dreams, but last night I had the weirdest dream, and I woke up rejoiced. So apparently I went to a future game this year. Rashaad Penny broke off 2 long touchdowns. All this to say, Alex Collins is getting faded with me in week 7. Sometimes the gut feeling and the analytics match up. By the way, Pete Carroll did say Rashaad Penny will be "back to full speed" this week. Pete Carroll is full of optimism with all injured players so I take this with a grain of salt on the rim of my margarita glass. (Gulp) Ahhh, but Penny is a guy I liked once he realized what north and south means. I'd take a flier on him if he's available in your league. Back to why you need to fade Alex Collins against the New Orleans Saints on Monday after dropping a hundred yards and a touchdown on the Steelers last week.

Hip and ass cheek injury

Alex Collins actually looked pretty good in Pittsburgh last week. But he took a beating for much of the game taking several hard hits. He is currently listed as questionable and like I said before. Bubblegum Pete is relentlessly optimistic. He says there's a chance he plays, but rest easy. I'll tell you to make adjustments early. Even if he suits up, I believe he will be limited.

The New Orleans front 7 is holding it down so far this year. This defense is only allowing 18.2 points per game trailing only the Bills (16.3) They rank 2nd in rushing yards allowed trailing only the Bucs. They lead the NFL in yards per carry allowed (3.3) and have only allowed 4 rushing scores.

In a week where we have a significant amount of relevant fantasy teams on bye, I'll give you a few players to consider over him.

Miles Gaskin. Yeah that guy makes me nervous… Even him.
D'Ernest Johnson. He plays for the Browns in case you're wondering.
Both Denver running backs. Gordon and Williams.
Khalil Herbert, and even Devontae Booker against a stout Carolina Panthers defense. The list goes on, so come see me for Truth Serum Football's Start or Sit show every Sunday at 10am CT. Live on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

Thanks for reading, and as always…
(Gulp) Ahhhh...
